The JW Fishers UA-2 is a low-cost, accurate underwater altimeter. Know the proper distance between the towed body and the ocean floor to avoid costly mishaps. This model is compatible with Pulse 10, Pulse 12, Proton 4, TOV-1, DV-1, and other hardware. 

The JW Fishers UA-2 underwater altimeter improves the efficiency and precision of underwater searches and surveys. The UA-2 provides a method for measuring the distance between a towed body and the ocean floor that is both accurate and economical. The altimeter enables underwater detection and survey equipment to be maintained at exact heights above the ocean floor. With the altimeter fitted on your search equipment, targets are not overlooked due to the equipment being hauled too high off the bottom, nor is equipment destroyed due to towing too close to the bottom.

To determine the distance between the towed body and the bottom, it is no longer essential to combine chart data, cable lengths, and towing speed. On a digital LCD display, the UA-2 precisely measures the actual distance. The distance measurement is refreshed three times per second. The big LCD display indicates depth in 1-foot increments between 1 and 199 feet. A switch permits the display of distance in either meters or feet.

The UA-2 altimeter is also equipped with an adjustable audible warning that notifies the operator if the equipment is hauled closer than a certain distance. Includes a big, simple-to-read LCD display, an audible alert, and compatibility with any towed vehicle.
