Simply insert a standard nine-volt battery into the wand, switch the unit on and you’re ready to scan. The world renowned Garrett Super Scanner is the most recognized hand-held metal detector in the world. Originally designed for use at the1984 Olympic Games, and continually updated to meet evolving metal detection needs. A momentary push button helps reduce sensitivity to temporarily eliminate detection of nearby ambient metal such as rebar, metal walls. An all metal detection detects ferrous, non-ferrous and stainless steel weapons, contraband, and other metallic objects.

The SuperScanner’s large, highly sensitive scanning area allows for quick, thorough scans, reducing wait times and the need for embarrassing pat downs. A simple red LED light and an audible or vibrate-only alarm notifies personnel when even the smallest metal item is detected. Garrett’s tactical handheld wand also offers a rebar reduction switch for ankle-level scanning and extended battery life over previous models. Accessory options – such as belt or in-car holsters – are also available. The Garrett super scanner uses self-calibrating Digital microprocessor technology eliminates the need for periodic sensitivity adjustments. Trusted by police, the Super Scanner^® V meets U.S. and international regulatory requirements for electromagnetic safety. Extensive research has found no information that would indicate Garrett products have adverse effects on magnetic recording media. The Garrett Ace CSI 250 is commonly used in conjunction with this device for locating deeply buried targets. This model has extreme sensitivity for small targets and will also locate larger targets. The Three color bright red led light will show the following LED indications: Green LED = ON, Amber LED = LOW BATTERY, Red LED = ALARM
