The DHC-2 Diver Held Camera is a cost-effective tool for underwater video inspections and underwater searches. The DHC-2 is an outstanding instrument for hull inspections, bridge inspections, and any of the other underwater structure inspections encountered by commercial divers today.

The DHC-2 may be carried by a diver or mounted to one. The device may also be fitted to any underwater structure for monitoring underwater areas around the clock. Controls for the camera's functioning and illumination are located on the rear of the camera housing and may also be accessed from the surface. The DHC-2 utilizes the boat's electricity to run its camera and lighting systems. A built-in GFI circuit guarantees the safety of divers. Up to 500 feet of water depth are compatible with the system.

The DHC-2 may connect to a video monitor or regular television set. The video may be recorded on any VCR to offer a permanent record of the inspection to the customer.

The DHC-2 system consists of a commercial grade 0.5 lux black and white camera housed in a corrosion-resistant PVC chassis with an integrated leak detection system, two 100-watt high-intensity underwater lights, and a 150-foot abrasion-resistant urethane jacketed wire. The cable features an in-line underwater connector close to the housing, allowing the umbilical to be disconnected from the camera housing for travel and storage convenience. The underwater lights use a novel water-cooling technology that allows for several hours of operation without the need to change the light bulbs.

The system offers up to 1,000 feet of cable, color or extremely low light B&W cameras, color or B&W displays, PAL cameras for European applications, and 12-volt dc or 220-volt ac voltage inputs as options.
